Opening Day for the Millis Youth Baseball League at Gerald Memorial Field. A parade, first pitch, games, snow cones, and I was there taking photos for all the players and teams. Here’s to a great season for all the athletes, both baseball and softball.

It has been maybe decades since I went to a Photographica Show. Photographica is New England’s largest annual, one-day trade show and auction for buying, selling, and appraising antique, vintage, and modern film cameras, lenses, images, and photographic ephemera, held by the Photographic Historical Society of New England (PHSNE). It felt right with my resurgence in film use. I went with the hope of finding a lens cap for my Canon 50mm lens used on my Leica IIIf. I did not find the lens cap, but I did end up with a second lens for the camera — this time a Canon Serenar 35mm f/3.5. I grabbed a few other smaller things, too. Met some great people, reconnected with some old friends, and took in the history. The Leica is ready for the June Middle Ground trip. More images soon with the new lens and the 50mm as well.

I worked late at Gilettte last night for a Corporate awards banquet. They have grow lights on the field. I assume they are growing grass. I don’t ask questions not my business. The pink haze with the overcast made a nice backdrop for Brady.

I can say that my dogs – especially Argus – might be the most photographed dogs on film in 2026. There are plenty of film shooters out there, and there are plenty of dogs too, but I bet that due to my constantly trying to test my cameras and developing them myself right after, no one is taking 120mm or 135mm color photos of dogs on film and getting the results the same day. Seems appropriate since Argus is named after my Argus camera.

And the light leak is gone, my Rolleiflex iks read to hit the road.
