I’ve had this idea for a few years. I’m not even sure where it came from. I thought there should be roadside stations for dog treats. I live in an area with heavy foot traffic, and there are a ton of dogs that come by. Many seem to want to venture up the stairs that lead to the studio, so why not give them a treat?

I got a candy dispenser and mounted it to my staircase today. Loaded it with some mini Milk-Bones, and my first visitor arrived only a few minutes later. London, the newest pup in the neighborhood. He stops by regularly on his walks. Now there are treats.

Catching up on edits from some recent sessions, and this photo stuck with me today. I knew it would look great in black and white. These two were so sweet. It was my first time working with their family. Just a quiet sibling moment.

A long weekend that feels like an everlasting Halloween. At the park for some family sessions, it was nice to photograph people not in costumes. Many pumpkins were still hanging around from Friday’s pumpkin walk. This little guy was there early, but after a few sessions we was missing. My theory is he went for a swim in the pond. I doubt it jumped, but I can’t prove it was pushed.

Thanks to everyone who came out to my annual Halloween Open House at the barn. So many great costumes always a great way to wrap up a busy October. All the photos are here.
