This looks really cool large, you can count the bricks on the walls. This was taken with my pocket camera a Sony DSX-RX100 Cybershot. Some clarity and saturation boosting in Lightroom and blown highlights in the opening, a new favorite.

My son and I went to the Patriots game this afternoon. Dan had never been to a real game, I had an opportunity to pick up these tickets and it was awesome. The Red Sox were introduced right after the Pats came out of the tunnel. Lester carried the trophy to center field. Later the whole stadium serenaded Shane Victorino who acknowledge all of us from his box seats. Add to this a great win, and I can almost overlook the temperature… man was it cold up there on the roof of Gillette. Dan had a blast though, it was a great afternoon, I should regain feeling in my toes by the end of the week.

I took the family to Ikea today, I have never been to Ikea, I do not like to shop, I do not like big box stores (for the record I have not been in a Wal-Mart for over 3 years).  This was my idea… I know it does not make sense. The girl needed a dresser for her room, I saw one she would like on Ikea.com, to ship it to my house nearly doubled the price so it turned into a family trip. I will never go to Ikea again, I will add it to the list of stores (see the Wal-Mart avoidance above). I never ate the food, the aisles are all one way, I asked people wearing shirts that said “ask me for help” – they could not live up to the shirt. The carriages have 4 wheels, they all move, carriages need to have 2 stationary wheels, like a car, the 4 wheels being able to turn are dangerous. Look at the photo, look at the middle of the photo, there is a man, his reaction is accurate to how I felt after only 60 minutes in this store.  I am sure it serves a purpose, it is just not for me.  The only positive part of this experiment is the dresser we purchased. My daughter is happy and ambitious.  She has used the directions and my tools to assemble it completely on her own.  She also enjoyed the store, so I might just not be the demographic. This store apparently is for 15 year old girls…

The secret identity I use ,when I am not photographing stuff, is that of a corporate cube dweller. Now and then I find things to photograph there. This apparently is some sort of breakfast battle, messages left on a Quaker Oats container in the kitchenette. Not sure of the order they have been added or all the players involved but it is quite amusing. I do know the owner of the container, they are just as curious who is continuing the conversation on the can.  Mr.T, John Oates and Flavor Flav are all involved. My favorite is Wilford… you can’t go wrong with some Brimley – who by the way is still alive at 78.
