In a great example of how jobs come to be, just over two years ago I shot my friends in the band Whiskey Church playing with the WPI orchestra on campus. A fun, different band shoot, thought nothing of it after the fact… a few months later an email arrives, a couple that was there are now getting married and need a wedding photographer. This is that couple. I am so fortunate to be placed into these opportunities that just lead to even more. It was an honor to photograph Sam and Will’s wedding tonight, just a great couple, surrounded by unbelievable friends and family. So many unique parts, handmade bouquets and corsages, made by the bride out of song music, each song chosen for the person holding/wearing it, just too cool. And this display, 3 wedding photos for each side, parents and grandparents wedding photos on display as you walked in the reception. Sam and Will, I wish you nothing but the best, it was a joy to spend the day capturing all this and more for you. I owe Whiskey Church a thank you for putting us together.

Sam and Mark got married tonight. A couple from my hometown, with a great story, awesome friends and family, and expert precision. We were on fire, getting the shots they wanted, the most efficient wedding photos I have ever done – the spreadsheet, list loving, data geek in me was in heaven, I loved it. Congratulations guys, I wish you nothing but happiness.

I spent this evening with Sam and Mark, one of my couples getting married this fall. One of three couples I will be working with this year from my home town, I always love the local connections. We took a quick stroll around Stony Brook in Norfolk, I look forward to celebrating with them this October.
