There has been a string of creatures posing for me in the back yard, this grasshopper, the spider, a dragonfly, all within a few days. I wonder if they are seeking me out, you know like they know I will get them a nice photo? Maybe there are some little signs hanging on blades of grass advertising my work. Probably not.

Things like this are why it takes me 3 hours to mow my lawn. Lawn was not mowed while I was gone, so tonight I tried, made it a few strips in and this guy hopped out. Off goes the mower, out comes the camera. Lying in my driveway, it jumped closer, not away, it was friendly, and freaky looking. What is it? Missing long wings? Never seen a red hopper or cricket? It looks like a worn, red, armor. So I ask again, what is it?
