Another day of film shooting. Today I shot the Leica at the car show and my Hasselblad 500c around the yard. To fill the roll of the Hasselblad, I had some fun with the doll face that sits on my shelf. She somehow looks even creepier on film. All the cameras making the trip have had a final run-through and are ready.

Back from the CT conference, this was all I really had time for today – the pun came out, not intended. I feel dirty – sorry. Happy Leap Day to all those who celebrate. More than anything, I am impressed I did not need to fix my watch. Growing up, I hated all analog watches- having a birthday on October 1 meant all watches thought I was born on September 31st. So knowing it is Leap Day is even more impressive. I guess this one is smart, ironically, I wear it because it is dumb. I stopped wearing my Apple watch sometime in 2023, one of my best recent decisions. The stress of the notifications and distractions is not missed, especially in a year where there are too many days.

Funny, yesterday was the spider, and I got a bunch of comments like “ew” and “ick.” Today I have this guy, and I will get more positive comments, if any. Seems like a fine line between the two. Somehow the Dragonflies get a ‘cute’ pass. When really they are not far off from flying spiders, or maybe e they are, I don’t know, I take photos, not study bugs. I do know the dragonfly is an insect, and the spider is not, but you get my point. You wake up with either on your face, and the reaction will be about the same.
