Dan is stuck on a couch, all drugged up and in a cast. Poor kid has had foot issues his whole life, so Friday, they reconstructed the damn thing. After years of braces, meds, inserts, therapy, witchcraft, and hope, it never got better. Soon as he started working, it actually got worse. Standing for long periods of time was not something that agreed with him. I will give him credit, it never stopped him. He would rather limp or use a cane than give in. Here is to this working. Multiple incisions, some bone adjustment, some muscle work, he will be off it for a few weeks. Hope to be a whole new foot in a few months. Not the kick-off of summer he wanted, but all for the best.

Day 4, I wore pants and one shoe today. Progress. Even left the house, saw Doc and got some food at TC Scoops. Cabin fever has started to sneak in. Three seasons in on The Americans – awesome show.

Tonight my Distracted Driving co-hosts and I escorted “A Christmas Story” cast members Scott Schwartz (Flick), Zack Ward (Scut Farkus), Ian Petrella (Randy) and Yano Anaya (Grover Dill) around while filming a show – which will air soon. Interviewed, shared stories and watched them hold a Q&A with the cast from the North Reading High School. The school is performing a musical version of the movie this weekend. It was awesome, the cast of the movie talked about their experiences with the kids. You too can hang out with them, the guys will be at the NorthEast Comic Con & Collectible show at the Shriner’s Auditorium, in Wilmington, Ma, Saturday and Sunday. Tell them I sent you…  I apologize for whatever they say after that, I deny anything they say about me. Go see Jay from Rubber Chicken Comics there too. The Star Wars Advent Calendar Lego for Day#3 is below somewhere too.
