Today men came to my house and dug a hole in my backyard. For over two years I have been annoyed with my giant dogs for doing the same thing. I won’t be patching this one. Casper, my neighbor, came over to help too. I could do a week of dailypics on the things we found buried behind my 140ish-year-old house. I could build half a car and open a Pepsi museum to start. I now know why grass never grew in one spot if my yard. In the end, this will be all worth it, at least that is what I have been chanting quietly since 8 am this morning. Check out the time lapse.

The next chapter of Tim Rice Photo starts here… or well, it started in the spring and after meeting with banks, contractors, carpenters, town officials, permit people, banks, surveyors, banks again, town again, you get the idea… it starts here! I will be moving my studio from it’s current 243 Village St. to a new barn being built behind my house. Still in Medway and with major improvements over the current location. My high ceilings, additional space, two floors and more, all in a custom, post and beam, real deal barn. The marker stakes went up this morning thanks to O’Driscoll Land Surveying in Medway, the digging starts soon and fingers crossed it all will move quick and be ready to kick off as the new home for Tim Rice Photo January 1, 2019. In the meantime I am am still booking appointments at the current location, holiday sessions will be starting soon, and I will have plenty of updates on the Barn Raising Page you can follow along. For those who are interested, the barn is a pre-engineered, pre-cut, color-coded post and beam building kit from Country Carpenters in Hebron, CT. Check out their page, awesome stuff, there are a few already in Medway, I am excited to add to the collection.
