New sports/school season started for me today – first up Medway High Schools football and cheer.

We laid my Dad to rest today. thank you for all the messages and well wishes, it means so much, and is overwhelming. Hays Funeral home in Northboro conducted the service with respect and dignity, I can not thank them enough. I delivered the eulogy on behalf of my family and I mentioned how much Dad would have loved today, he was built for occasions like this. I was not, but he taught me well enough to make it through.

This is a photo I have planned for years. We walk our dogs in Evergreen Cemetery in Medway. A beautiful and historic spot, Founded in 1750, it contains many of Medway’s early families, as well as veterans of the American Revolutionary War and American Civil War. The cemetery was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2021.

This soldier stands as you enter from Evergreen St and is a monument erected/dedicated by that local veterans’ organization to their fellow Civil War veterans. The stones on the hill are original plots dating back to 1750. I have always found how he stands guard over the oldest part to the graveyard to be noble.

Day Eleven. I was in Missouri following the Missouri River. Glasgow was a stop to check out the railroad truss bridge built in 1900. I launched the drone from a safe spot down below, and its zoom functions got me some incredible views looking straight down the line.
